St. Angelo’s Fort: This massive triangular structure was build by the first Portuguese Viceroy in 1505.

Parassini Kadvu Snake Park : Located amidst beautiful setting, the snake park has varieties of poisonous and non poisonous snakes kept in hygienic and scientifically maintained pits.

Parassini Kadavu Muthappan Temple : This temple on the banks of the Valappattanam river, is one of the important pilgrim centers of Kerala.

Payyambalam Beach: Just 2mts. from the down town you can reach this beautiful unspoiled long beach.

Bekkal Fort: 1 Hour and 30 mts. away from Cannanore this fort is of great historical and archeological interest.

Elimala: 40 mts drive north of Cannanore, Elimala is situated at a height of 885 ft. with an isolated cluster of hills.

Boating in Valapattanam lake: Boating facility in normal fishing boats in the Valapattanam lake is a wonderful thing to do in Cannanore.

Muzhapilangad Beach : 8 kms. from Cannanore this beach is ideal for a day camping.

Theyyam : This is a ritual dance form, and one of the oldest forms of dances.

Tellicherry :18 kms from Cannanore, Tellicherry is a place of immense historical importance.
